The history of THUN began in 1950, when the founders of the company, Count Otmar Thun and his wife Lene, decided to devote themselves entirely to their great passion: ceramics and craftsmanship. The public welcomes them with enthusiasm, the market reacts promptly and the company develops accordingly with great speed. In 1978 Peter Thun, second-born of the Thun accounts, joined the company, assuming management. Over the years the company continues to grow with an important expansion also in the international market.
